I think Dave probably WOULD act on it, at least once, possibly subtle or somehow make it out that he was joking when she turned him down/thought he was gay/whatever her reasons. Dave is totally going to end up being that 'I like you like a gay bestfriend/sibling way isn't he?

KLMSDF if it's subtle it might go over her head, it depends how subtle we're talking about. ALTERNATIVELY she'd probably act like she did with Tavros in canon all oh nooooo I really like you a lot but

The horrible thing is... he'll probably ask Bro and Dirk what he should do/how he should tell her first, so it could be really subtle and he decides not to bother, or they might try to give him embarrassing advice that leaves him humiliated ... Either way, its going to be awkward for him.

Did you want to play it out in the au? or have it assumed he'd tried it on with her once before?

HMMM I am down with either - the only thing is if it happens in the AU is that she and Rose have talked about becoming a thing without entirely kind of finalizing it (they wanted to meet up first) so that would be an element in that dynamic :V

Oh that only adds for more let down and heart break on Dave's side! I am totally up for him trying to talk to Jade about a possibly crush on her and have her totally turning him down! I love tormenting my characters~

Also, it will help give me more fuel to work wit for me having Dave even more confused about his sexuality... He likes gay girls and straight boys? Forever alone! D: When did he become the Eridan of the group lol

Backstory works for me! I figure Dave is going to be trying to not only stay alive but compete with his bros when it comes to killing the undead xD

We'll go with the fact that they maybe have had an awkward talk about this in the past, so Dave is still going to care for Jade a lot. If he sees her in trouble he'll be there like batman! Lol
